RCP has recently delivered well control equipment to a client operating in the North Sea. The choke control console and HPU were delivered on time and within budget, with the equipment design reviewed and approved by Lloyd’s without any technical changes required — a testament to the engineering skills of the team involved in the design and build.
The delivery represents the latest in a series of choke control consoles and HPUs supplied to North Sea platforms for the same client.
The choke control console and HPU provide the driller with an accurate, fast-responding control system built in accordance with API 16C requirements. This console is also fully ATEX certified for use in a Zone 1 hazardous area.
